Learning to Drive

As you may know, there are now two separate tests that you have to pass before you can get a full licence to drive a car. There's the Theory Test, which is a computerised, touch screen test covering a basic knowledge of traffic signs, road markings, road sense, hazards, rules and regulations etc and there's the practical test of your basic driving ability.

First Steps to a Driving Licence

Your first step should be to buy a copy of The Highway Code. It contains lots of advice for all road users and a section on driving theory - essential reading for all learner drivers. There are many other books available, including CDROMs etc, all designed to help you learn driving theory.

Driving Lessons

Meopham School of Motoring offer a wide range of driving lessons from individual 'refresher' driving lessons through to block bookings for those who are looking to pass their driving test in a hurry.

Block Bookings

We offer a number of 'block booking' options to help you get on the road as quickly as possible. Our 'eleven lessons for the Price of ten' has always proved popular, and we will periodically offer a special deal. See 'Special Offers' page for up to date news of current offers available.

Pass Plus Driving Lessons

Meopham School of Motoring actively support the Pass Plus driving scheme. Designed by the Driving Standards Agency, with input from the motor insurance and driving instruction industries, the Pass Plus scheme helps new drivers to become more confident in their driving, learn motorway driving skills and in many cases, can help lower the cost of car insurance.
